IRON MAIDEN TAR SONISPHERE FESTIVALEN TILLBAKA TILL PORI SOMMAREN 2010
Sonisphere Festival som arrangerades för första gången i somras kommer tillbaka till Kirjurinluoto i Pori kommande sommar. Denna gång blir det en tvådagars festival, den 7 - 8 augusti. Bland de akter som är klara hittar vi legendariska Iron Maiden, HIM som gör sin enda festivalspelning i Finland under Sonisphere, Fantastiska The Cult, thrash metal pionjärerna Slayer, klassiska punkarna Iggy & The Stooges, Anthrax som tillhör thrashens ursprungliga "Big Four" och sist men långt ifrån minst Mötley Crue som kommer att få oss alla att skrika oss hesa till klassiker som "Shout at The Devil", "Live wire" och "Kickstart my Heart"!
Iron Maiden är ett av världshistoriens bästa hårdrockband och inte bara bäst utan också ett av världens största. Sist de gästade Finland var sommaren 2008 då de spelade för utsålda arenor i Helsingfors och Tammerfors. Med över 80 miljoner sålda album i bagaget kommer Heavy Metal-pionjärerna tillika hjärnorna bakom mästerverk som "Hallowed be thy name", "Fear of The Dark" "Paschendale" och "The Greater Good of God", till Stockholm nästa år som huvudakt på Sonisphere.
Steve Harris säger:
"When we decided to play a few shows next Summer we were delighted to be offered to headline Sonisphere Finland, especially as it was such a success this year! We really enjoy playing festivals and seeing friends in the other bands - and it’s a long time since we played a festival in Finland, in fact it will be the first one there with Bruce. The stadium shows there last year were incredible and we have always enjoyed visiting especially as the fans are so fantastic and knowledgeable. Finland is truly one of the great countries for Maiden and Metal. It will be 2 years since we played so we promise the fans to do our utmost to give them a night to remember."
